Statistical Research

We provide statistical research services to government and private organisations – typically focusing on social and health issues. Bayesian modelling and iterative fitting are among the methods we use.

Our statistical analysis often involves the design of algorithms for complex analysis and the development of software to implement them.

Examples of our work include the following.

  • Estimations and projections of Indigenous small area populations with the Office for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health (OATSIH).
  • Consultancy to investigate and report on Australia’s capacity to collect and manage surveillance data on communicable diseases for the Department of Health and Aged Care [now Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA)].
  • Statistical analysis on injury rehabilitation to identify opportunities to improve outcomes for injured workers and employers in South Australia for the Australian Rehabilitation Providers Association (ARPA).
  • Data mining consultancy to analyse the determinants of Australian principal’s attitudes toward professional standards and national policy for the Principals Australia Institute (PAI).
